The Artist
Frank Herrgott

Biography
Compose. Perform. Inspire.
Worldwide.
Born in Mulhouse (Alsace, France) in 1972, Frank Herrgott discovered music early, playing hymns by ear in every key at his local church before he could read a score. That instinct — to listen, feel, and play — has never left him.
Trained at the Strasbourg Conservatory and Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied alongside legends such as George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi and Kenny Werner, Frank holds a Master's degree in Musicology and the Certificat d'Aptitude en Jazz et Improvisation — the highest teaching diploma in France, awarded by the Ministry of Culture — a distinction that places him among the most qualified jazz educators in the country.

Art in All Its Forms
"Music is not something I do — it is something I live. Each concert, each lesson, each composition is another way of saying what words cannot."
— Frank Herrgott
Frank quickly established himself in Paris as one of the most versatile musician-arrangers of his generation. He signed a publishing deal with Sony/BMG, headed the Jazz Department at the prestigious Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison, and performed relentlessly across Europe and beyond.
In 2005, Thailand changed everything. Frank fell in love with the country, its culture, its artists — and never looked back. Since settling permanently in Bangkok in 2013, he has become a key figure on Southeast Asia's music scene, collaborating with the biggest names in Thai music: Koh Saxman, Toon Bodyslam, Jennifer Kim, Boyd Kosiyabong, Stamp, ETC., and many more. In 2023, he served as artistic director for Jennifer Kim's sold-out concert at Impact Arena — 12,000 people, one unforgettable night.
As a composer, Frank has built a vast and distinctive catalogue: the 24 Preludes (recorded with Yamaha Thailand), Romances Without Words, the progressive cycle Virtuoso Voyages, the children's collection Emilie's Marvelous Musical Zoo, and the upcoming 500-page pedagogical opus The World's Pianist – Global Piano Grooves. His music is melodic, harmonically rich, and cinematic — rooted in classical rigour, fuelled by jazz freedom, and open to the world.
Through his Méthode Herrgott – Body & Sound, Frank transmits his approach to a new generation: a pedagogy built on tone, gesture, artistic identity, improvisation, and composition — where technique serves expression, always. He gives masterclasses, teacher workshops, and solo recitals across the globe, bringing the same energy to a conservatory in France as to a festival stage in Kazakhstan.
Frank Herrgott doesn't just play music. He inhabits it — and invites the world in.
